Itinerary Description

This is one of our most affordable private safaris that features tented camps. Experience the beauty of the Serengeti with three nights on the plains - allowing for two full days of game viewing. Enjoy the services of a private guide and vehicle which allows you to pace each day of game viewing to your own preference. Visit a remote authentic Maasai village on the outskirts of Tarangire. The itinerary features special AAC pricing!

Naturalist Guides in Tanzania - Our carefully selected group of naturalist guides bring an excellent knowledge of the areas you will visit and have built up an excellent camaraderie with our clients over the years. As you spend several days with the same guide, you maximize seeing and doing “everything” and come away at the end of a trip with “a friend for life”. The naturalist guides that may lead your trip include Servuli Patrick Harri, Hillary Mandia, Wilson Urio or Ephraim Mollel.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01

Kilimanjaro/Arusha

Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, you will be met and transferred to your lodge. Overnight Kahawa Cottages or Laba Mama Simba.

Day 02+03

Tarangire

After breakfast and safari briefing, depart by road with your private guide to Tarangire National Park. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Continue on an afternoon game drive. Enjoy dinner back at your lodge. Next morning depart with a picnic lunch and enjoy a full day game drive in Tarangire National Park. 2 nights Olorien Safari Lodge or Tarangire Elephant Springs. 

Day 04+05

Ngorongoro Crater

This morning you will visit an authentic Maasai village located on the outskirts of the park. Continue to Mto wa Mbu  village, home to over 80 tribes. You will have a tour of the village followed by lunch in a banana plantation (drinks payable directly). Late this afternoon, continue to your lodge. Enjoy the evening at leisure. Next early morning depart to the Crater Rim and descend for a morning of game viewing on the crater floor. Enjoy a late lunch at a lodge on the crater rim. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. 2 nights Acacia Farm Lodge or Lion’s Paw Camp or Crater’s Edge or Laba Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 06-08

Serengeti

Your journey to Serengeti includes a visit to Oldupai Gorge, the famous archaeological site where the Leakey’s discovered the remains of Australopithecus, Homo Habilis and Homo Erectus. Game view enroute to your camp, arriving in the early evening. Enjoy two days of game viewing on game drives in the park. An optional balloon safari can be arranged. 3 nights Intimate Camp Seronera or Serengeti Plains or Siringit Serengeti or Olmara Camp or Warangi Ridge or Camp Zebra or Kaskaz Mara Camp or Laba Migration Camp or Laba Migration or Laba Laba Out of Africa.

Day 09

Serengeti/Arusha-Kilimanjaro

Transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to Arusha. On arrival you will be met and transferred to a local hotel for lunch (L). An optional day room can be arranged (additional fees apply). Dayroom: Kahawa Cottages. This evening transfer to Kilimanjaro for your departing international flight.
