About Southern Africa Combo
There are so many great things a Southern Africa safari has to offer! Scenic, bustling Cape Town and the wildlife-rich private reserves near Kruger National Park are the highlights of South Africa. The floodplains and wetlands of the Okavango Delta in northern Botswana contain some of the continent’s most sought after wildlife areas. The rugged, arid scenery of Namibia count among the world’s most dramatic and beautiful landscapes. The personalized, private guiding in Zambia and Zimbabwe arguably offer the best walking and canoeing safaris on the continent. Lastly, bordering these two countries is Victoria Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world.
Many of our featured Southern African combo safaris are flying programs visiting multiple countries. The 12-day, 14-Day, and 16-Day safaris are classic introductory trips to South Africa, Botswana and Victoria Falls. On the flying programs you fly from park to park on scheduled charter flights. Resident guides at the camps and lodges conduct the game viewing activities. In addition, we offer flexibility in the pricing that reflects choices for premier camps like Mombo and Singita Boulders, to the more comfortable, classic levels found in most parks. For the “Out of Africa feel” there is the option to stay in luxury mobile tented camps.
We have over ten AAC Signature and group scheduled departures to Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe where you are led by the same guide and travel with the same group of people for the duration of the safari trip. These can be combined to visit more than one country. By the same token, for those who want the ultimate experience, one can be privately guided by a specialist guide throughout or on part of the safari – this offers a personal trip of a lifetime! Furthermore, there is total flexibility on how you plan this kind of safari. As a matter of fact, you should take a look at a sample of our guides who lead trips in the Southern Africa region.
Overall, the top wildlife destinations in Southern Africa to consider including in a combo country itinerary are:
a) South Africa: Kruger and private concession areas within the Kruger reserve, Tswalu Kalahari, Kwandwe, Madikwe & Phinda
b) Botswana: Okavango Delta, Mashatu and the Kwando, Linyanti & Selinda Concessions
c) Zambia: South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi, Kafue
d) Namibia: Sossusvlei, Etosha, and the Skeleton Coast
e) Zimbabwe: Mana Pools and Hwange
Lastly, one of the huge advantages to working with the Africa Adventure Company is that we can customize any Southern Africa safari to your specific needs.

On the way in, after passing the guarded gate, we passed zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, impalas, and we were giddy as schoolchildren.
