Mashatu Game Reserve
Mashatu is a 72,000 acre private reserve within Botswana's Northern Tuli Game Reserve. It's arguably one of the best kept secrets for game viewing in Africa. This part of the country is ecologically diverse, featuring open grassland, mopane veld, riverine forest, marshland and sandstone outcrops. The populations of elephant, lion, cheetah, eland, impala, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, leopard, bat-eared fox, hyena, African wild cat, hyena, jackal and wild dog can be observed while on one of several activities offered. These include off-road game drives, walking safaris, night drives, photographic hides, horseback riding, and mountain biking.
