A deluxe lodge or tented camp, almost all with swimming pools, excellent food and service, large nicely appointed rooms or tents with comfortable beds and tasteful decor; most of the lodges have air-conditioning and the tents are usually fan-cooled.
Mashatu Lodge has 14 suites with en suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and private decks. The main lounge and dining area overlooks a waterhole. There is a pool to cool off in during hot summer days.
The lodge is located within Mashatu Game Reserve. Activities included are day and night game drives. There are optional activities including guided walking safaris, mountain bike riding, a day(s) spent in a photographic hide, and fabulous horse trail trips available at extra cost. For those looking for an extended adventure, there are several walking safaris lasting three or four days and covering 8-12 kilometers walking a day. Accommodations can range from rustic trail tents to Mashatu Tented Camp and the Main Lodge. (Additional fees apply).
