Itinerary Description

You visit four different ecosystems offering diverse wildlife viewing and scenery. Start with a flying safari to Amboseli National Park in Kenya where you will enjoy shared game drives. Continue to Tanzania for a PRIVATE driving safari from park to park in Tanzania in a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Finish in the Serengeti – best time to go on this program is Nov-Mar and June.

You have the services of your own private guide and vehicle in Tanzania. In Kenya enjoy group game viewing activities with resident guides. There is a combination of driving and flying to eliminate backtracking great distances by road. This safari really highlights a great selection of accommodations in Southern Kenya and Northern Tanzania. You should have the opportunity to see the Big 5.

Naturalist Guides in Tanzania - Our carefully selected group of naturalist guides bring an excellent knowledge of the areas you will visit and have built up an excellent camaraderie with our clients over the years. As you spend several days with the same guide, you maximize seeing and doing “everything” and come away at the end of a trip with “a friend for life”. The naturalist guides that may lead your trip include Servuli Patrick Harri or Wilson Urio.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive Nairobi

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.  Enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight Palacina Suites.

Day 02-04

Amboseli

This morning you will transfer to the airport for your scheduled charter flight to Amboseli. On arrival you will be met and driven to camp. Enjoy an afternoon game activity. Enjoy two days of game viewing activities. 3 nights Tortilis Camp.

Day 05+06

Tarangire

This morning you will be transferred to the Tanzania-Kenya border at Namanga where you will clear customs and change vehicles before proceeding to Arusha for lunch. After lunch continue with your private guide and continue by vehicle to Tarangire National Park. The following day enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. 2 nights Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge.

Day 07+08

Ngorongoro Crater

Depart this morning for a game drive in Lake Manyara. This afternoon continue on to the Ngorongoro Crater, which was a pioneer experiment in reconciling the interests of wildlife animals and indigenous forests with the needs of the local Maasai tribe. The following day you will have a full day game drive in the crater with picnic lunch. 2 nights Acacia Farm Lodge or Ngorongoro Lion’s Paw.

Day 09-11

Serengeti

Jan-Jun / Nov- Dec – Continue to the Serengeti stopping en route at Oldupai Gorge for a visit to Richard Leakey’s Museum and Archeological Site where traces of early man were unearthed. Game view enroute to your camp. Jul-Oct – This morning your guide will transfer you to the Lake Manyara airstrip. Board your scheduled charter flight to your camp, located in the northern Serengeti. Your guide will continue by vehicle and meet up with you later in the afternoon.  Enjoy a late afternoon private game drive. Enjoy two days of game viewing in the park. Your days are very flexible where you can take a packed breakfast and leave at sunrise and return to camp for lunch. Or you can depart after breakfast and go for the whole day with a picnic lunch. 3 nights (Jan-Jun/Nov-Dec) Intimate Camp Seronera or Olmara Camp. (Jul-Oct) Based on KasKaz Mara.

Day 12

Serengeti/Arusha/Kilimanjaro

This morning depart by scheduled charter flight to Arusha. A dayroom (Kahawa Cottages) in Arusha has been reserved for you to freshen up. This evening transfer to Kilimanjaro for your departing international flight.
