Itinerary Description

This Tanzanian Honeymoon safari begins with a private guide and vehicle for exploring the Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Crater. Continue on a flying safari to the Serengeti with shared game drives. Three nights in the Serengeti offers two full days of game drives in this magnificent game park. The program ends with three relaxing nights on the tropical island of Zanzibar.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01+02

USA/Europe/Tanzania

Depart the USA on an overnight flight to Europe. Connect to an onward flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight Kahawa Cottages.

Day 03

Ngorongoro Crater

Depart Arusha with your private guide and continue by road to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a game drive. Following a picnic lunch proceed to your lodge located in Karatu. The remainder of the day is at leisure. 2 nights Plantation Lodge or Gibb’s Farm.

Day 04

Ngorongoro Crater

Depart early in the morning to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending 2000 ft by 4-wheel drive vehicle for a morning game drive. Enjoy a decadent picnic lunch on the crater floor. In the afternoon, you will return to your lodge. A special dinner will be served to you this evening.

Day 05-07

Serengeti

Depart this morning with your private guide and drive to the Serengeti. Enjoy lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. Enjoy two full days of game viewing. By having your own vehicle and guide you can ensure you can do what you want when you want to do it – be that following the wildebeest, sitting by a waterhole or just waiting to get that perfect photograph. 3 nights Olmara Camp or Lemala Nanyukie.

Day 08-10

Zanzibar

Game drive en route to the airstrip. Board your scheduled charter flight to Zanzibar, flying via Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your resort or hotel. Enjoy two days at leisure to relax and explore. Optional touring available. 3 nights Matlai Boutique Hotel, Zawadi Hotel, Baraza or Zuri Zanzibar.

Day 11+12

Zanzibar/Dar es Salaam/Europe/USA

Enjoy the morning at leisure. (Please note that check-out of your room is at 10:00 am. Your bags will be stored in the bellman’s office and you are welcome to use the resort’s facilities.) This afternoon you will be transferred to town for a private tour of Stone Town followed by a late lunch at a charming local restaurant. You will be transferred to the the airport for overnight international flight to Europe. Morning arrival in Europe. Onward connecting flight to the United States. Welcome home!
