Itinerary Description

This flying safari is an introduction to the parks of  Zimbabwe that offer game drives in open vehicles, game viewing by canoe, morning walks and boating. Hwange and Mana Pools (open Apr-Nov). The Zimbabwe professional guides in each camp have some of the highest guide qualifications on the continent.  Accommodations are a combination package of luxury, classic and moderate levels of permanent tented camps. Spend two nights in Victoria Falls where you will have time to visit one of the 7 natural wonders of the world.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive Johannesburg

Depart today on your overnight flight to Johannesburg, South Africa. On arrival you will be met and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel. Overnight African Rock Hotel or The Peech.

Day 02-04

Mana Pools

Fly to Harare, Zimbabwe, connect with charter flight to Mana Pools National Park. On arrival you will be met by a driver and transferred to your camp. Enjoy game drives, walks, canoeing, boat safaris, and fishing. 3 nights at Little Vundu or Vundu Camp or Ruckomechi Camp or Tembo Plains.

Day 05-07

Hwange

Scheduled charter flight to Hwange National Park. Activities include guided walks, morning and night game drives and game viewing from hides. On arrival you will be met and transfered to your camp. You will have the opportunity to observe elephant, kudu and sable antelope, zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok, the rare and endangered roan antelope, buffalo, giraffe, white rhino, lion, leopard, hyena, and many other wildlife species. 3 nights Sable Valley or Hwange Bush Camp or Davison’s Camp or Little Makalolo or Camp Hwange or Linkwasha Camp.

Day 08+09

Victoria Falls

Onward scheduled charter flight to Victoria Falls where you will be transferred by road to your hotel. The afternoon is a good time to view the falls (park entry fee US$30 pp payable direct). Fortunately the area immediately around the falls has not been commercialized, and there are unobstructed views from many vantage points connected by paved paths. Enjoy 2 nights Batonka or Pioneer Lodge or Ilala Lodge or Palm River Hotel or Victoria Falls Hotel or Old Drift Lodge or Victoria Falls River Lodge or Matetsi Victoria Falls.

Day 10

Victoria Falls/Johannesburg/Depart

This morning you will privately transferred to the airport. Board your scheduled flight to Johannesburg.
