Greetings from Botswana!
I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on my most recent guiding adventure. Accompanying some AAC clients, we explored three amazing camps -each one offering its own magic, from dramatic predator sightings to rare and heartwarming moments in the wild.

The Okavango Delta is in full flood after good rains in Angola, bringing life back to the region after a long drought. The animals are thriving, the landscapes are stunning, and the bush is alive with the sounds of hippos and frogs each night.
Our first stop at PomPom Camp set the tone for an unforgettable trip. We were greeted with two separate sightings of wild dogs pack on arrival day and the morning – though the hunt wasn’t successful, the intensity was unforgettable.

We also saw six lions feeding on a buffalo, surrounded by bold hyenas waiting to steal a bite. There were sightings of jackals, plenty of general game, and excellent birdlife. PomPom never disappoints.
Chitabe Lediba delivered the best big cat sightings of the safari. We had eight leopard sightings involving six different individuals, with two seen more than once giving us fantastic photography and observation opportunities.

We also saw a female cheetah and her sub-adult cub, the young male cheetah was kicked out and it was newly independent and exploring the world.

Adding to the excitement were 27 different lions, including cubs from various prides, and a visit to a hyena den where one cheeky cub tried to chew on our vehicle tire. Plenty of black backed jackals added to the richer predator mix.
The camp was full of predator action. The biggest highlight was the reunion of the four resident male cheetahs, they were split, we witnessed their joyful union, playful interactions, territory marking, and even a hunt attempt.

We also encountered eight lions including four cubs, large herds of buffalo and elephants, and hippos wallowing in the waterways.

It was great to witness nature with such balance and beauty. Thank you to my guests, the incredible staff, and the wildlife of Botswana for making this safari unforgettable to my guests.
