Itinerary Description

This is an exciting program where you combine a Kenya flying safari to the world famous Maasai Mara with gorilla trekking in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Activities in Kenya are varied and could include morning and afternoon game drives, escorted walks, cultural interaction with the Maasai, morning picnics, sundowners and even horseback riding. End with time in Uganda and experience the thrill of two gorilla treks!

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive Nairobi

On arrival in Nairobi, Kenya, you will be met and privately transferred to your hotel.  Enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight at House of Waine.

Day 02-05

Fly to Maasai Mara

You will be met and transferred to Wilson Airport.  Take a scheduled charter flight to the Maasai Mara. Enjoy an afternoon game viewing activity. Enjoy three days of shared game viewing activities.  An optional balloon safari may be taken. 4 nights Offbeat Mara or Offbeat Ndoto or Kichwa Tembo or Kicheche Valley Naboisho or Kicheche Bush Olare.

Day 06

Fly Maasai Mara – Entebbe (Jun-Sep) or Nairobi (Jan-May/Oct-Nov)

This morning you will transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to Entebbe. On arrival you will be met and privately transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight Hotel No. 5.

Day 07

Fly Entebbe/Bwindi

This morning you will be transferred to airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to the Entebbe Airport. Connect with your scheduled charter flight to the Kihihi airstrip in Bwindi. On arrival you will be met and driven to your camp. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. 3 nights Mahogany Springs Lodge or Buhoma Lodge.

Day 08

Bwindi-Buhoma Region

Have an early breakfast this morning before driving to the park for your first gorilla visit. Your trek takes you up through villages before you enter into the forest (usually two-three hours).

Day 09

Bwindi-Buhoma Region

Today you will have your second gorilla trek. Return to camp.

Day 10

Bwindi/Entebbe/Depart

Transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to Entebbe Airport. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel where a dayroom has been reserved. This evening you will be transferred to the international airport. Dayroom: Hotel No. 5.
