Today, we’re excited to announce the winners of our “Birds” category. Each entry beautifully captured the elegance, diversity, and unique stories of birdlife across Africa. Congratulations to all our winners!
📷 1st Place: Mark Knott
First Place Birds: Mark Knott – Martial Eagles are the largest eagles in Africa. This shows their impressive talons and gives an impression of their formidable power as apex predators.

Second Place Birds: Darlene Knott – We were driving along, then we heard a commotion to one side in a tree. There a baboon and a Goshawk were having quite the disagreement! Not sure who won the battle, but it was fun to watch!

Third Place Birds: Marc Silver – The bird life continued to amaze us! Here at Savanna Private Reserve, a small Woodland Kingfisher attempts to devour a huge centipede. After several minutes the kingfisher managed to devour its prey.
