Congrats to Alison and Mark: Travel + Leisure “A-List” – Top Travel Advisors 2026
Congratulations to Mark and Alison Nolting on 2026 Travel+Leisure A-List. They are consistently recognized as top in the Safari Industry and their African expertise is unsurpassed. This is Alison’s fifth time on the list and Mark’s 17th year in a row! Celebrating AAC’s 40th Anniversary this year, the safari power couple remain passionate about the preservation of wildlife and wild places, as well as Africa’s people.
“We are committed to sustainable tourism and re-wilding for conservation. We design safari experiences to emerging areas that include long-term engagement with the communities adjacent to wildlife areas.”
Alison recommends Tembo Plains, “a 5-star camp located in the Sapi Private Concession bordering Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe. Another re-wilding project.” For a more remote experience, she suggests Mozambique’s Gorongosa National Park. “This is one of the most successful “rewilding” projects in Africa where 90% of the large animals were decimated and now the populations are almost back to normal levels. We book clients into Muzimu Lodge.”
With the increased tourism in Kenya’s Maasai Mara, Mark highlights “the Mara Conservancies over the Maasai Mara Game Reserve as they have much fewer vehicles, off-road driving and night drives that are not allowed in the reserve.” Many of Mark’s clients are looking for emerging destinations. His recommendation, “Safari to Zakouma and Ennedi National Parks in Chad – two of the most remote and fascinating in the world?”
