Safari to Cape Town, Botswana, Victoria Falls & Exclusive Locations of Kenya

It was truly a trip of a lifetime!  Everything about it, the choices of places to go and where to stay, the staff and guides at each camp and the luxurious rooms and food were beyond my wildest expectations!  Being 8 feet away from a lioness and her cubs or having Losinko park the jeep so that over a hundred elephants could walk all around us was amazing. Catching a clear view of snow-capped Kilimanjaro in the early morning sunrise was beautiful as well. 

On a separate note, the chef’s shared some recipes with me that I will highlight in my upcoming food column and I will tell the story about how I was feeling sad after the killings on Bondi Beach and not being able to celebrate Hanukkah and I asked Chef Ben at ol Donyo if I could come into the kitchen and make some potato latkes and had him print out the recipe from my website. That was above and beyond any experience.  

I’m sure Richard has many photos that he took with the high-end camera the camps provided, but I have a short video of a newborn gazelle struggling and succeeding to stand for the first time. I hope it makes you smile.

This was another outstanding trip!!  All the connections, transfers, charter flights, were flawless.  I can’t say enough good things about the Kicheche experience.  The camps, each one different and lovely in its own way, shared the common thread of great warmth and hospitality from the staff.  They paid much attention to detail, always with our satisfaction at the forefront.  Each camp provided its own unique experience, and while they shared some routines (picnic breakfasts for example) they also had different ways of serving lunch and dinner.  All had great chefs.  The food was always fresh, tasty, and plentiful.  The staff did not hesitate to let us know how appreciative they were of our visit and were able to express that appreciation in a very warm and cordial manner.  The guides were well trained, knowledgeable, and possessed great skill when anticipating wildlife movement and maneuvering vehicles into just the right position for the best viewing and photographs.  Our requests for specific guides were all honored.  We could not have asked for better!!  Wildlife sightings were incredible.  On one day we saw ALL of the big five.  Until this trip, we had not seen a leopard cub or cheetah cub.  Not only did we see both, but many, many lion cubs.  And of course, there were many other animals as well.

Each time we book a trip, I always have the little voice in my head that says “Will this one be as good as the previous ones?”  And so far the answer has been YES.  Thank you so much for your knowledge, experience and for making these trips an amazing adventure.  We are keenly aware that we have partnered with the BEST!!

Private Tanzania Safari and Gorilla Trekking to Rwanda

…We have nothing but good things to say about our experiences with your company, we have already referred several people who were very interested in our gorilla trekking experience.  I certainly hope they follow through.

The gorilla trek was amazing!!!  The length of the trek was just right for us.  It felt like just enough hike…The gorilla group we saw was Anhara and there was a baby and it was a complete thrill.  The entire family decided to move during our visit so they all walked right past us and the lady from Seattle standing next to me was smacked on the butt by one of the juveniles as he walked past!  It was fantastic.  The golden monkey trek was also very good.  We enjoyed the troop and there were multiple 2-week-old babies so that was of course very exciting!  The porters, and all the rangers were very good.  Your information was very accurate and helpful.  The Sambora Kinigi lodge was an absolute dream.  We were not expecting such a luxurious place and the opportunity for a massage after the gorilla trek.  We were completely spoiled there…

Our balloon safari was excellent.  We saw a serval cat and an aardvark from the ballon.  The breakfast was so nice!! 

Our guides: Both Ephraim and Tarzan were wonderful.  They were professional, personable and they made sure we were comfortable in our safari vehicles.  We would highly recommend either of them to anyone traveling to that part of Africa.

All accommodations were very good.  We particularly enjoyed the tented camps.  We had no idea that a camp could be so luxurious.  The staff at the camps go out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and well fed…

We have fabulous memories of our days on safari and the people we met along the way.  Thank you for arranging such an amazing experience for us…

Safari to South Africa and Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda

Kari and I are in the airport in Kigali and wanted to drop a quick note thanking you and your team for another amazing Africa adventure. A few highlights: (1) the Singita Lodges and staff were amazing and exceeded all expectations. We would like to make special mention of our guide Danelle from Singita Ebony Lodge.  She was fantastic with our 8-year-old grandson and went out of her way to ensure a memorable and educational experience; and (2) the gorilla trekking in Rwanda was simply phenomenal and beyond words. Our guide and driver Shema was simply the best. We have traveled a great deal all over the world and have never enjoyed a driver and guide of his caliber and character.  He is a true professional and a credit to Singita.

Tanzania Group Tented Safari and Rwanda Gorilla Trekking

…You are clearly the BEST travel advisor ever!!  Nearly everything was exceptional and the trip exceeded my expectations and dreams.

If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Ingagi Park View Lodge in Rwanda.  The staff treated me like family, cleaning the mud off not only my boots but my knee brace and backpack well.   They took the time to walk me around the area; the massages were fantastic and the food nourishing.  The setting was peaceful and comfortable.  I slept better there than anyplace ever!

The gorilla trek was an incredible experience.  I am breathless looking through my videos and photos.  The trackers, porters and guides were so patient, kind and professional.  The opportunity to sit amidst these creatures will remain with me for the rest of my life.  If I’m able I will return with my daughter as this is an experience I would love to replicate.

Rwanda should be promoted more…it is such a stunningly beautiful country and the people are so welcoming.

My Tanzania experience was also good… Our guide was fantastic.  He seemed to have exceptional vision and was able to help us see so much…  

It has been a dream come true, this trip…

Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda & Visit to Seychelles

Dear AAC,

Our guide Emanuel was absolutely delightful, knowledgeable, friendly. Couldn’t ask for anyone nicer. Thanks.

Our trip was incredible. All resorts were beautiful, but the Kempinski in the Seychelles, especially the breakfast buffets and dinner buffets were beyond words. And the Hotel and personnel A+.

Thanks to everyone in your office who helped make this trip so memorable.

The mountain gorillas was a dream come true. I had a delightful trip on the stretcher (or “helicopter”, as they call it). At the age of 87 I realized I could not have climbed those hills. The porters were extremely helpful and friendly. What a delight. 

This trip was a dream come true. When I get a chance to edit my hundreds of photos, I will send some along to you guys.
