Africa Adventure Company @40 Safari Soiree
Celebrating 40 Years!
On 26 February, we had the pleasure of celebrating a remarkable milestone — 40 years of The Africa Adventure Company.
Founded by Mark and Alison Nolting, our company has spent four decades sharing the magic of Africa with travelers from around the world. Over the years, we have had the privilege of helping thousands of guests experience Africa’s extraordinary wildlife, landscapes, and cultures while building lasting relationships along the way.
To mark the occasion, we hosted our Safari Soirée Anniversary Celebration at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale. The evening brought together many of our travelers, partners, and friends of the safari community who have been part of our journey over the years. Seeing so many familiar faces, clients who have explored Africa with us and returned with unforgettable stories, made the celebration especially meaningful.
Following a reception, guests gathered in the theater for a special presentation featuring three distinguished speakers who represent the passion, expertise, and conservation commitment that define the safari experience.
The evening began with James Currie, internationally known wildlife presenter, birder, and conservation advocate. James spoke about the importance of protecting Africa’s wildlife and shared insights from his work supporting conservation initiatives, including the Great Plains Foundation, which helps protect wildlife habitats and empower local communities across Africa.
Next, guests heard from Nick Murray (President of Bushlife Conservancy), one of Zimbabwe’s most respected professional guides and a specialist in the legendary Mana Pools National Park. Nick shared stories from decades spent guiding in the Zambezi Valley and offered a glimpse into the extraordinary wildlife encounters that make Mana Pools one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations.
Closing the presentation was Dave Carson, a highly regarded Zimbabwean professional guide known for his deep bush knowledge and passion for authentic safari experiences. Dave’s reflections on life in the African wilderness and the enduring appeal of safari perfectly captured the spirit of adventure that has inspired travelers for generations.
Together, their stories and insights captured the spirit of what safari is truly about; a deep connection with wild places, extraordinary wildlife encounters, and the people who dedicate their lives to protecting these landscapes.
The evening was filled with wonderful conversations, shared memories of past safaris, and a collective appreciation for Africa and the experiences it offers. For us, the celebration was not only about looking back on the past 40 years, but also about celebrating the community of travelers and partners who have made this journey possible.
We welcome you to enjoy photos and a video from the evening, capturing some of the special moments from this memorable celebration.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us, and to the many travelers who have trusted us with their safari dreams over the years.
As we look ahead, we remain as passionate as ever about creating meaningful journeys to Africa and sharing its magic for many more years to come.
