Little Governor’s
is a luxury tented camp consisting of 17 tents with en suite facilities. All the tents are comfortable
and tasteful and each has an en suite bathroom. In keeping with
safari tradition lighting is by gas and kerosene lantern or candlelight. As dusk falls the flickering lights in the forest make the camp a uniquely
peaceful place.
Built in the northwest area of the park overlooking a marsh waterhole, this is where elephants come to feed. You reach the camp by crossing the
Mara
River by boat, walk a short distance escorted by armed guards through the forest and in to camp. Group morning and afternoon game drives
are offered. Dawn game drives are followed by breakfast in the camp. It is usual to do two to three game drives a day or if you wish
to stay out all day the camp will provide lunch and drinks. Vehicles carry an average of four guests, small groups may be asked to
share vehicles. Optional walks and balloon
safaris are offered
.
