Itinerary Description

This is an exciting seven-night flying safari staying at selected camps that are ideal for families. Accommodations are based on the Kwando Safaris’ portfolio of camps. Explore three diverse regions within the game rich Okavango Delta. As a family you may require/or request a private vehicle and guide in each camp and area. An optional night or two add-on may be arranged in Victoria Falls.

Travel between January 5-March 31 and Nov 15-Dec 19, 2024, enjoy special discounted rates. Price reflects “Five Rivers” Special at Kwando camps.

Day by Day Itinerary

Days 01+02

USA/Johannesburg

Depart the USA on your overnight flight to Johannesburg. On arrival you will be met and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel. Overnight City Lodge at OR Tambo International Airport.

Day 03

Okavango Delta

Take the complimentary hotel shuttle back to the airport in time to check-in for your scheduled flight.  Depart on the scheduled inter-Africa flight to Maun, Botswana.  On arrival you will be met by your pilot and board the aircraft for your scheduled charter flight to your camp. 2 nights Pom Pom Camp.

Day 04

Okavango Delta

Enjoy a full day of game viewing. Pom Pom Camp is located on Pom Pom Island in a private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta and on the head waters of the Xudum river system. The area lies on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve and not only offers superb Okavango scenery but also consistent game viewing all year round. 

Day 05

Okavango Delta

Depart at dawn, enjoying an early morning game drive en route to the airstrip. Board you scheduled charter flight to your next camp in the Okavango Delta. 2 nights Mma Dinare.

Day 06

Okavango Delta

Enjoy a day of game viewing in the Okavango Delta. Mma Dinare is set in a private concession, adjacent to Moremi Game reserve on the south-eastern side of the Delta. It overlooks the Gomoti River and its flood plains and the camp has been designed to embrace the natural surroundings.

Day 07

Okavango Delta

Enjoy a morning game activity.  Depart on your scheduled charter flight to your next camp located in a different region of the Okavango Delta. 3 nights Splash Camp.

Day 08+09

Okavango Delta

Enjoy two full days of game viewing activities. Splash Camp is situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta, within the Private Kwara Reserve. The Kwara Reserve shares a 30km water boundary with the famous Moremi Game Reserve and its unique location boasts both permanent water and seasonal flood plains as well as extensive dry bush wilderness. 

Days 10+11

Okavango/Johannesburg/USA

Depart on your scheduled charter flight to Maun. Connect with the scheduled inter-Africa flight to Johannesburg. Connect to your onward flight to the USA. Welcome Home!
