A deluxe lodge or tented camp, almost all with swimming pools, excellent food and service, large nicely appointed rooms or tents with comfortable beds and tasteful decor; most of the lodges have air-conditioning and the tents are usually fan-cooled.
Shipwreck Lodge is located in the Skeleton Coast Central Concession between the Huarusib and Hoanib River. The lodge is positioned between the dunes with views to the Atlantic Ocean. There are 12 shipwreck shaped chalets each with a shower, toilet and wash basin and coffee-tea making station. The main lounge includes an expansive deck, bar, restaurant and small plunge pool. Activities offered include a sundowner drive to see the roaring dunes, excursion to the Hoanib River Delta and full day Huarusib River excursion.
