Mapenzi Beach Club is located an hour from the airport on the east coast of Zanzibar. This first-class resort is set in a tropical paradise of swaying palms and bright bougainvillea trees. Eighty seven charming bungalows, each decorated with traditional East Africa decor and a large veranda, offer lovely views of the ocean. Two restaurants and three bars to choose from as well as windsurfing and other beach activities are offered here. Scuba diving is available through a local dive operator and can be booked on site.
