Londolozi Tree Camp
Londolozi Tree Camp has six luxury air-conditioned suites decorated with Ralph Lauren wall-paper and deep rich woods. Each suite has its own plunge pool and a private sala. The camp has a boma, swimming pool, and lounge deck. It is one of five camps on the 14,000-hectare (34,580 acres) Londolozi Private Game Reserve, an exclusive safari destination situated in the heart of the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve in South Africa.
Londolozi is renowned for its world-class rangers and Shangaan trackers, regarded as among the best in Africa, along with its progressive ecotourism practices. Activities offered are morning and afternoon/evening game-drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles. Explore the Sabi Sand Game Reserve on interpretive wilderness walks and learn more about the area’s intriguing fauna and flora. Guided bush walks bring you face-to-face with wild Africa at its best. The Sabi Sand Game Reserve and Kruger National Park are of the finest Big Five game (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) destinations in Africa and you stand an excellent chance of spotting the elusive leopard.In addition to game viewing activities you can take a guided walk through the staff village, visiting the school and community crafts center. You may also visit a small Shangaan village within the staff village and observe traditional local dwellings and meet the sangoma (witch doctor). Londolozi’s ongoing community projects may also be observed in the neighboring communities of Huntington and Lilydale. A sleep-out is available during the winter months. Built in the branches of a 1000 year old Ebony tree, the raised deck features comfortable bedding and mosquito netting. Waking up at dawn under the trees is the ultimate safari experience.
