Little Kulala

Premium An extremely luxurious lodge or permanent tented camp (five-star) with superb cuisine and excellent service, with swimming pools, and many with private \" plunge\" pools (small swimming pools) for each chalet or tent. Lodges and chalets are air-conditioned, while the tents may be air-conditioned or fan-cooled.

Little Kulala is an ultra-luxurious camp. The eleven thatch-and-canvas chalets or “Kulalas” are set on wooden platforms and have both en suite bathrooms and private plunge pools. You may also sleep under the stars on the roof of their chalet—a private stargazing platform!

Activities at Little Kulala include morning visits to the Sossusvlei dunes, desert breakfasts under the camel-thorn acacia trees, and a visit to the Sesriem Canyon. Afternoon activities are taken on the private reserve, adjacent to Sossusvlei, taking in the desert scenery, the flora and perhaps a chance to see the animals like springbok, gemsbok and ostrich that survive in this harsh environment. The camp has a telescope and in the evenings the guides, who are trained in astronomy, will show you different sites in the sky. Optional activities include balloon safaris, quad biking and horse rides.

Traveler Feedback

Little Kulala:  You guys were very smart to start with the trip with Namibia.  (I think I had originally wanted it to be at the end.)  It was amazing - so vast and breathtaking there, but if we had ended with it, I suspect (maybe?) that we would have been disappointed with the lack of animal life.  Instead, we took a million pics of every springbok we saw - unaware that we'd see so much animal life that we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves.  Our guide was Chris at Little Kulala - he was phenomenal.  We loved our stay at Little Kulala (sleeping out under the stars was incredible).  We also did the hot air balloon ride - another stunning keeper.  The company was fantastic.
