Wilderness Mara
Located in the Mara Triangle, one of the most wildlife-rich areas of Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve, Wilderness Mara (formerly Little Governor’s Camp) overlooks a seasonal marsh and provides access to both sides of the Mara River. The surrounding mix of grassland, riverine forest, and wetland habitat supports exceptional wildlife viewing year-round, including during the Great Migration.
The Mara Triangle offers a more exclusive safari experience, thanks to its lower visitor density, well-maintained roads, effective anti-poaching patrols, and strict conservation management by the Mara Conservancy. Game viewing is exciting and may include prides of lion, cheetah, large elephant, zebra and antelope herds, resident black rhino and the annual Great Migration (seasonal).
The camp features 12 tented suites positioned along the edge of a marsh each with ensuite bathroom and a shaded private deck. Contemporary comforts include a spa, gym, swimming pool, and lounge. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives, bird watching and an optional balloon safari (additional fees apply).
