Laba Fanjove Island
An exclusive island, Laba Fanjove is located south of Dar es Salaam and is the smallest of one of six islands in the Songo Songo Archipelago off the coast of Tanzania. With 18 en suite beach villas discretely located amongst the island vegetation, each one is built with natural, local material and overlooks the beach or sea. The main area features one of the last remaining 19th century lighthouses built by the Germans and this is where breakfast and lunch are served each day. At night guests can sit in the light of the illuminated lighthouse or enjoy a bonfire on the beach.
Activities include various water sports such as sea kayaking, paddle boarding, diving and snorkeling, as well as marine safaris, bird watching, dhow sailing and a nature trail as you explore the island.
