Fundu Lagoon
Fundu Lagoon is a small privately owned resort spread over 18 acres on the west coast of the island of Pemba, north of the Zanzibar mainland. Nestled into the secluded, undiscovered coastline of the Wambaa Peninsular the location boasts two miles of white, sandy beach. The resort comprises 18 bungalows, three bars, an excellent restaurant and infinity pool, all designed to blend in with the East African setting.
Luxury accommodations are offered either directly on the beach or high on the ridge of the peninsula, all with superb sweeping views of the bay. Each room has a private balcony and en suite bathroom. Furnishings are stylishly simple throughout and made from natural, local materials. The goal is to provide what is the ideal environment for a relaxing break.
Now listed as one of the top diving locations in the world, Fundu Lagoon caters to the more energetic holiday-maker with a fully-equipped PADI diving Center and a wide range of water sports including snorkeling, sailing, fishing, waterskiing and kayaking. Private beach dinners and sunset dhow cruises are also offered.
