A lodge or tented camp with very good food and service, and many have swimming pools. The rooms/tents are of good size but perhaps not as large as "Classic" properties. Facilities could be "Class A," but located in a sub-standard game-viewing area.
Chamilandu Bushcamp is set in an ebony grove on one of the South Luangwa’s prime riverfront locations. The intimate camp consists of just three grass-and-thatch chalets, built on wooden decks, all with en suite facilities. The chalets, along with the main area’s lounge, bar and dining area offer a bird’s eye view over the waters of the Luangwa River and Chindeni Hills.
Behind camp a series of seven ox-box lagoons yield a diversity of wildlife and attract abundant wildlife to the area. Walks and day and night game drives are offered as well as an opportunity to visit the hide which overlooks one of the lagoons.
