Testimonial from Ken Spint

Chiawa’s Accommodations: Slightly rustic, elevated tents but with full time electricity and hot water. Our tent (#7) had a great location for animal viewing. Meals: Outstanding and maybe the best food preparation of the trip. Their “Boma night” has to be one of the best.  The night included choir singing from the staff that is so good that my understanding is that they may make a recording. Most evening meals were made special with private dinners in a boat on the river, or in the elevated animal observatory. Guide: Guides are rotated here and all were great with special stars for Spensor and Daniel. Many of the staff have been here for years with one, Joshua, having his son Spensor on staff. Animal activity: Great activity here. We saw the big five soon, and many nocturnal animals we had not seen before. There were many animals within the camp with an absolute need for night escort because of elephant and lion activity. Every day 1-2 elephants cleared us out of the fire pit area where we had snacks and breakfast. Tiger fishing was so-so with high winds for the two days I went out with only a few brought to the boat. Note: All equipment for fishing, canoeing and safari trucks were all new or nearly new and in excellent condition.
