Ephata Lotashu
Ephata was born in 1969 in Arusha and after his completing both his primary and secondary education in Arusha he went to University in Iringa to read Physics and Chemistry for two years. After a year of National Service, Ephata joined Mweka Wildlife Management College in August 1993. During his time at Mweka, Ephata climbed both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, which he found to be a great personal achievement.
In 1995, after completing Mweka Wildlife Management College, he joined a company based in Dar-es-Salaam where he worked as an Assistant Professional Hunter and Camps Manager. This is where Ephata gained his first true bush, general hunting and operation skills.
Missing home, Ephata returned to Arusha and continued to increase his knowledge and eventually joined the guiding team in 1999. He was the Africa Adventure Company Guide of the Year, 2009! In 2010 he visited the USA as a guest speaker on the AAC "Call of Africa" roadshows.
Ephata is married to Edelfrida and has a daughter Ines born on 15 March 2003 and a son Ince born 14 August 2006.
