Brian Gibson
“The Okavango Delta and Beyond” - Our Man in the Bush – Departures Magazine October 2013
A mobile safari in this game-rich area is 100 percent about the skill, experience and personality of your guide. And one of the great unsung heroes is Brian Gibson.
“I've grown up in the Southern African bushveld and from a very young age, it has always amazed me. Some say I know the African Bush, but I learn something new every day!”
Brian trained as an operational medic. He then was fortunate enough to turn to guiding for several well-known Botswana companies before branching out on his own. He started a small mobile operation in the Okavango in 1997 with his wife, Hildrene. The company has grown from strength to strength. Safaris are their life and with Hildrene being an extremely capable operations manager and brilliant chef, things seem to always run smoothly. Brian is at home in the bush.
“Brian Gibson was a gracious and extremely attentive host as well as a skilled and educational guide. He runs a taut, first rate outfit. I give him my highest recommendation… The camping and safari in Khwai was terrific. Moremi was very good…We will be looking forward to our next trip with AAC – hopefully in the next two years.” Jim Reynolds
