Sosian Lodge

Sosian Lodge sits against the backdrop of Mount Kenya and overlooks the Laikipia Plateau. The 24,000 acre wildlife ranch is a unique blend of conservation, traditional cattle ranching and safari lodge. Accommodating a maximum of 14 people, the 4 guest cottages are dotted throughout the garden and feature en suite bathrooms, 24-hour electricity, comfortable furnishings and private verandahs. The main house offers classic elegance with a dining room, sitting room, bar and billards room. The large swimming pool is surrounded by manicured gardens.

Sosian has a diverse habitat and hosts a variety of mammals and bird life including elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe and zebra plus many smaller animals. The lodge has also become known for its healthy population of wild dog. With sophisticated tracking equipment the guides are able to locate the dogs and you will often follow them by vehicle, on foot or by horse. Working closely with the local community, Sosian has a committed anti-poaching team and over 100 trained, skilled workers supporting their families. Activities are diverse and include day and night game drives, guiding walking safaris, horseback riding, camel treks, fishing, kayaking, river tubing and waterfall jumping.
