Shinde Camp

Classic A deluxe lodge or tented camp, almost all with swimming pools, excellent food and service, large nicely appointed rooms or tents with comfortable beds and tasteful decor; most of the lodges have air-conditioning and the tents are usually fan-cooled.

Shinde is located in the heart of the north-eastern Okavango Delta in a private game concession. Built on a palm island, the camp features eight luxury tents, including one family unit, each with en suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, upscale linens, and classic furnishings. Sliding doors lead out to private decks with expansive views of the open floodplains of the Delta. The multi-tiered dining room and lounge is the centerpiece of the camp and ideal place for guests to meet over sundowners. Between game drives, relax in the swimming pool which overlooks the permanent channel.

Activities are both water and land-based and include game viewing by open-vehicle game drives, mokoro and motorboat as well as guided bush walks. Fishing is available from March to December (basic equipment supplied)
