Hemingway’s River Camp Mara

Vintage A lodge or tented camp with very good food and service, and many have swimming pools. The rooms/tents are of good size but perhaps not as large as "Classic" properties. Facilities could be "Classic," but located in a sub-standard game viewing area.

Hemingways River Camp Mara is located on the border of the Mara North Conservancy and the Olare Orok Conservancy. Built on the banks of the Njageteck River and surrounded by 70 acres of private land, the camp provides total privacy and exclusivity. Nearby springs provide a permanent water source, attracting a variety of game throughout the year. The camp features eight tents, including a family tent, each beautifully appointed with hand-crafted furnishings and textiles. En suite bathrooms include hot and cold running water, flush toilet and open-air shower. The main lounge area offers comfortable sofas and décor, inviting guests to relax between game drives. Decadent spa treatments are available from the comfort of your tent (additional fees apply). Morning and afternoon game drives and visits to the local Maasai village are offered.
