Marataba Safari Lodge

Classic A deluxe lodge or tented camp, almost all with swimming pools, excellent food and service, large nicely appointed rooms or tents with comfortable beds and tasteful decor; most of the lodges have air-conditioning and the tents are usually fan-cooled.

Marataba Safari Lodge is comprised of 15 canvas-and-stone tented suites with indoor and outdoor showers, each exquisitely furnished and decorated with a contemporary twist. The suites feature a private deck overlooking the plains and meandering river below. The main lounge area features a fireplace, large swimming pool with loungers, hammocks in the trees; complimentary Wi-Fi access in the main lodge area, curio shop and well stocked library.

Marataba is a malaria-free 23000 hectare private concession at the foothills of the Waterberg Mountains. Morning and evening game drives in open safari vehicles (6 people per vehicle), bush walks, bird watching, astronomy (night sky safaris) are offered. Specialist photographic safaris with Pete Oxford, bush breakfasts and dinners, boma dinners and children’s activities are also available.
