Marataba Mountain Lodge

Classic A deluxe lodge or tented camp, almost all with swimming pools, excellent food and service, large nicely appointed rooms or tents with comfortable beds and tasteful decor; most of the lodges have air-conditioning and the tents are usually fan-cooled.

Located in a private concession in the foothills of the Waterberg Mountains, Marataba Mountain Lodge has just five "Eco Suites". Each is simple and sophisticated, without clutter to distract from where you are. Even its design elements, from stripped-back wood furnishings to the stone color palette, have taken their cue from nature. The main lodge provides more social spaces to unwind, as well as a setting marked by stunning scenery. You’ll find an open-plan dining and lounge area, expansive viewing deck, fire-pit lounge hosting nighttime gatherings under the stars, and an infinity Rock Pool that seems to skim off into Waterfall Valley below. Morning and evening game drives in open safari vehicles (6 people per vehicle), bush walks, bird watching, astronomy (night sky safaris) are offered.
