A lodge or tented camp with very good food and service, and many have swimming pools. The rooms/tents are of good size but perhaps not as large as "Classic" properties. Facilities could be "Classic," but located in a sub-standard game viewing area.
Lemala Ewanjan is a deluxe seasonal camp located in the central Serengeti on the western slopes of the Makoma Hills. The camp features 10 deluxe tents each with two queen beds or one king, en suite bathrooms with flush toilets, a large safari shower, 24-hour solar lighting, and an outside chaise to enjoy the spectacular view. Between game drives, enjoy meeting fellow travelers in the main lounge which includes the dining tent and central bar area with leather sofas, chandeliers and oriental rugs.
The camp is open all year except April and May (due to the spring rains). Activities include morning and afternoon game drives in open vehicles. An optional balloon safari is also available as the launch site is only 25 minutes away.
