Koroi Forest Camp
Located within Arusha National Park at the base of Mount Meru, Koroi Forest Lodge is named after the Maasai word for the black-and-white colobus monkeys that call the area home. Each of the eight tented en suite forest chalets feature a private deck overlooking a seasonally flooded forest glade or river which attracts a variety of wildlife. The main area consists of a large lounge, dining room, bar and campfire overlooking the glade.
Activities include forest walks, forest and mountain hikes, day and night game drives and birding excursions. The area is home to colobus monkeys, turacos and hornbills, duiker’s, bushbuck, giraffe, buffalo and elephants. At night you can hear the call of wood owls and nightjars whilst African civets, Bushy-tailed mongooses and bushpigs can be seen foraging in the glade.
