A lodge or tented camp with very good food and service, and many have swimming pools. The rooms/tents are of good size but perhaps not as large as "Classic" properties. Facilities could be "Classic," but located in a sub-standard game viewing area.
Gorilla Safari Lodge is located on the boundary of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in the southern region of the park. The lodge is the ideal base to trek the Nshongi group of gorillas. Accommodations include eight individual spacious units with en suite bathroom, solar lighting, fireplace and private verandahs overlooking the tropical rainforest. The main lodge area features the restaurant, bar, lounge and campfire with deck area with views of the forest. In addition to gorilla trekking, experience community walks, bird watching, forest walks and volunteer tourism opportunities (additional fees may apply).
