Cottar’s 1920s Safari Camp
Classic
A deluxe lodge or tented camp, almost all with swimming pools, excellent food and service, large nicely appointed rooms or tents with comfortable beds and tasteful decor; most of the lodges have air-conditioning and the tents are usually fan-cooled.
Incorporating original safari antiques and designs from the 1920s, Cottars 1920’s Safari Camp is ideal for a "throwback" safari experience in the Maasai Mara. Each of the spacious canvas tents are luxuriously furnished and include a dressing room, bathroom (with an old-fashioned tub), a main bedroom, and private verandah. The Cottar safari tradition began in 1919 and eighty years on, continues with Calvin and Louise Cottar residing at camp.
Game drives are offered (if you prefer in a vintage 1920s vehicle) during the day and at night, along with bush walks, river fishing and swimming all supported by dedicated butlers, trackers, chefs and the service team. Massages are also available.
