Banyan Tree Seychelles

Deluxe An excellent hotel, rooms with air-conditioning, one or more restaurants that serve very good food, and that feature a swimming pool, bars, lounges, room service & mdash; all the amenities of a four- or five-star international hotel.

Banyan Tree Seychelles is located on the southern tip of Mahé Island, 30 minutes by car from the international airport. This luxurious resort feels as if it’s at the end of the earth, tucked into a secluded bay, surrounded by jungle-covered mountains, and a coast of sweeping sandy beaches fringed with palm trees.

Each of its stunning 54 pool villas richly combines contemporary, colonial and ‘plantation’ décor, from the high sloping ceilings, airy verandas and louvered doors, to ethnic woven textiles, handcrafted furniture and artwork of local artists.

There are three styles of villa, all of which are lavish, and all come with large private swimming pools, private spa pavilions, verandahs, and spacious bedrooms with king-size beds, air-conditioning and other deluxe amenities. Beach front villas will delight ocean lovers who can revel in the proximity of the sea while enjoying deluges of fresh water from powerful outdoor showers. Hillside villas offer fabulous ocean views, and feature outdoor sunken baths and Jacuzzis in which to unwind under the stars. And, for supreme spoiling, there’s the Presidential Villa, standing on its own cove, and boasting two swimming pools, a Jacuzzi, two bedrooms and a host of other services.

The hotel’s restaurants provide a splendid cross-cultured choice of international and Creole cuisine. The Saffron is the resort’s signature restaurant. Located on the upper floor in the main building, with a spectacular view across the water, it offers primarily Thai cuisine complemented by Southeast Asian specialties. On the lower level, the menu leans towards traditional and regional recipes incorporating Mauritius, Creole and South African foods.

Sailing, Scuba diving, windsurfing and working out at the resort’s first-class gymnasium are there for the asking , as is the ultimate pampering experience – a visit to the world renowned Banyan Tree Spa. With its holistic approach to physical and spiritual well-being, the spa lies in an Oriental garden beside a clear blue sea. It is a sanctuary for the senses and offers divine treatments, such as the seductively named Royal Banyan after which you’ll drift into a state of dreamy relaxation – that place where your spirit goes when Paradise beckons you with romance, rejuvenation and exotic sensuality.
