Jack’s Camp
Jack's Camp is a classic camp in the 40's safari style set in a palm grove within the Makgadikgadi Pans. Ten roomy walk-in tents have en suite indoor and outdoor showers and flush toilets. The camp is operated by Ralph and Katherine, who have an amazing understanding of this unique environment. Attention has been given to each detail here and this comfort and luxury is particularly appreciated in the dry season when the pans become a salty, parched, white expanse.
Activities include day and night game drives, bird walks, limited use of quad bikes on the pans, and game walks with bushman trackers to observe desert wildlife including hyena, springbok, suricate and meerkat. You may also visit the historical baobabs, campsites of Livingstone, Baines and Selous. You are accompanied by knowledgeable expert guides who are usually anthropology or zoology graduates.
