Fly to Maputaland, a coastal forest reserve situated between Sodwana Bay and Kosi Bay. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your beach lodge. Overnight Rocktail Bay Lodge or Rocktail Beach Camp.
Day 02-07
Enjoy six days of activities. The Indian Ocean is ideal for snorkeling in search of tropical fish (flippers and snorkels may be borrowed at the lodge), while surf and fly-fishing is among the best on the east coast. Nature walks through the coastal forest and grasslands, or drives in open 4x4 vehicles to Black Rock and other localities will enthrall naturalists and photographers. In summer, nocturnal walks and drives along the beach in search of egg laying sea turtles are a highlight. Activities included in full board rate: snorkeling, surf casting and fly fishing, nature walks, 4x4 drives to Black Rock and Vazi Pan, night drives for the egg-laying sea turtle (Mid October-Mid March) and community visi. Excellent scuba diving is done off shore (extra cost) and this can be booked directly at the lodge with their dive master. 6 nights Rocktail Bay Lodge or Rocktail Beach Camp.
Day 08
Today you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to Richards Bay. On arrival you will connect with your scheduled inter-Africa flight to Johannesburg.
