This value safari combines a small group safari in Tanzania starting in Arusha and driving through to the Serengeti. Finish with a quick hop and jump, flying safari into the Masai Mara. The accommodations include staying in seasonal tented camps, as well as permanent tented camps. This is our most affordable group safari departure to include the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara. Group size is maximum 10 people (two vehicles) on a departure.

  • Day 01+02
  • Depart this evening on your overnight flight. Morning arrival in Europe. Connect with your scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your lodge. Overnight Olasiti Lodge.

  • Day 03+04
  • After breakfast, depart by road with your group to tented camp situated within the Tarangire-Lake Manyara eco-system. Activities include, game drives, guided walking safaris, bird watching (over 300 birds) and cultural interaction with Datoga and Maasai, whose bomas populate the adjacent land. Enjoy a day of activities including a guided bush walk. You will also visit a local Maasai village. 2 nights Maramboi Tented Camp or Lake Burunge Tented Camp.

  • Day 05+06
  • After breakfast drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Mto wa Mbu where you can mingle in the markets. In the afternoon visit a local school. After climbing the Rift Valley escarpment near Lake Manyara, you will reach Karatu where you take a rough road to Lake Eyasi. Activities include time spent with the Hadzi Bushmen as well as bush walks and bird watching. 2 nights Kisima Ngeda Camp or Tindiga Tented Lodge.

  • Day 07+08
  • Continue on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which was a pioneer experiment in reconciling the interests of wildlife animals and indigenous forests with the needs of the local Maasai tribe. Next morning depart to the Crater Rim and descend with a packed breakfast for a morning of game viewing on the crater floor. Have a late lunch at a lodge. Enjoy the evening at leisure. 2 nights Ngorongoro Farm House or Tloma Lodge.

  • Day 09-12
  • Your journey to Serengeti includes a visit to Oldupai Gorge, the famous archaeological site where the Leakey’s discovered the remains of Australopithecus, Homo Habilis and Homo Erectus. A day of game viewing usually consists of morning and afternoon game drives. On your return to the camp after a morning game drive you may have an excellent late breakfast or gourmet picnic lunch when you then may relax on the veranda of your luxurious tent. Afternoon tea and a further game drive is followed by iced cold drinks and a delicious dinner. All your meals are excellent and are taken in a separate dining tent. Three days of game-viewing by vehicle. 4 nights Serengeti Katikati Camp.

  • Day 13-15
  • This morning you will transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to the Maasai Mara (please note you clear customs at the border and then change airplanes to continue to camp). Activities include morning and afternoon game drives, guided bush walks, bush breakfasts and dinners. Optional balloon safaris, night game drives and cultural visits to a nearby Maasai village can be arranged at an additional cost. Enjoy two days of game viewing activities. 3 nights Tipilikwani Mara Camp.

  • Day 16+17
  • This morning you will transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to Nairobi. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel where a dayroom has been reserved for you. Dayroom: Ole Sereni Hotel. This evening depart on your overnight international flight to Europe. Next morning arrival in Europe. Onward flight home.
