16 Day Kilimanjaro Climb and Lodge Safari to Tanzania - From $4,375.00

This popular program combines a Mt Kilimanjaro Climb with a group safari, driving through the parks to Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. You have the option to do the climb before or after the safari. To better improve your chances of acclimatizing we recommend you safari before climb. The Rongain route is more remote, and less traveled than the Marangu route.

  • Travel. Arrive in Arusha. Overnight Mountain Village.
  • Day 03
  • Drive to Lake Manyara, afternoon game drive, overnight Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge.
  • Day 04+05
  • Drive to Serengeti, via Olduvai, 2 days of game drives, optional balloon safari, 2 nights Serengeti Sopa Lodge.
  • Day 06
  • Drive to Ngorongoro Crater, stopping en route at Oldupai Gorge, full day in crater for game drives, overnight Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
  • Day 07+08
  • This morning enjoy a cultural walk to the Mto wa Mbu village, home to over 80 tribes. Morning and afternoon game drives in Tarangire National Park, 2 nights Tarangire Sopa Lodge.
  • Day 09
  • Drive to Arusha and prepare for climb, overnight Kibo Hotel.
  • Day 10-14
  • 5 nights Mt. Kilimanjaro Climb - Rongai Route Overnight Forest Edge Camp, overnight Kikelewa Caves Camp, overnight Mawenzi Tarn Camp, overnight School Camp, overnight Horombo Hut.
  • Day 15+16
  • Return to trailhead, dayroom Kibo Hotel, onward travel.
