  • Day 01
  • Today you arrive in Palmwag, situated within the Damaraland, a ruggedly beautiful region located inland from the Skeleton Coast. Wildlife is not concentrated and the natural laws of food and water dictate the movements of the rare desert elephant and black rhino, gemsbok, kudu, and springbok. Game such as springbok, oryx and ostrich are found on the plains, while species such as Hartmann’s mountain zebra frequent the higher mountain slopes. A featured activity of the camp is rhino tracking on foot or by vehicle with Save the Rhino Trust game scouts and rangers. Also offered are night drives and full day outings (with a picnic lunch) on the concession. Overnight Desert Rhino Camp.
