Itinerary

• Day 01
• Depart on an overnight flight to South Africa.

• Day 02
• On arrival you will be transferred by vehicle to your airport hotel. Overnight Southern Sun O. R. Tambo International Airport.

• Day 03
• Scheduled flight to Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape region. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your lodge located on the Shamwari Game Reserve. Both morning and night game drives are offered in open vehicles with a maximum of six people per vehicle. Guided walks are also available. Spa treatments can be arranged for you. Overnight Shamwari Riverdene Lodge or Sarili Lodge

• Day 04-06
• Enjoy three full days of game viewing on the 14,000 hectare reserve that is home to rhino, elephant,buffalo, lion, hippo and many species of antelope. Upon arrival, the children’s coordinator will discuss activity options with the family taking the family’s size, children’s ages and the weather into consideration. Child minding facilities are available at an additional cost for children younger than four years as they are too young to join game drives. Each child will receive an age-appropriate gift pack. 3 nights Shamwari Riverdene Lodge or Sarili Lodge.

• Day 07
• Scheduled flight to Cape Town. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel located near the waterfront. Overnight Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront.

• Day 08+09
• Enjoy the days at leisure. Daily excursions include day trips along Cape Peninsula, Chapmans Peak, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, and Table Mountain. 2 nights Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront.

• Day 10
• In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and depart by vehicle for the Grootbos Nature Reserve, which is about 1 ½ hours from Cape Town overlooking Walkers Bay. This is one of the best locations for experiencing the “Marine Big Five- southern right whale, bottle nose dolphin, Cape fur seal, great white shark and the African penguin. . Apart from activities available at Grootbos, which include nature drives, walks, horse rides and mountain biking, the area itself offers much to do. The 19 mile (30 km) long beaches with a variety of seabirds are perfect for walks. Overnight Grootbos Garden Lodge or Grootbos Forest Lodge.

• Day 11+12
• Days at leisure for to enjoy this coastal area. Optional activities nearby include: Pony rides on the paddock, treasure hunts in the Milkwood forest, children playground, excursion to nearby beaches, entertainment center with games, cinema, large selection of children movies, special meals and helping the chef in the kitchen, harvesting fresh vegetables and feeding them to the animals in the stable. 2 nights Grootbos Garden Lodge or Forest Lodge.

• Morning at leisure where you may relax. Return transfer to Cape Town for your onward scheduled flight. Welcome home!
