  • Day 01+02
  • Depart on a flight to Europe. Onward flight connection with a flight to Lusaka, Zambia. On arrival this evening you will be met and transferred to your lodge. Overnight Pioneer Camp.

  • Day 03-05
  • Transfer back to Lusaka this morning for you an onward scheduled charter flight to Mfuwe Airport. Upon arrival you will be met by a representative before boarding a short charter flight to your first camp safari camp in the North Luangwa. Your activities focus in the park is for productive game drive/walk combinations and limited night drives. Guests staying several days in the park may have time to visit the waterfalls located near the foot of the Muchinga Escarpment. The excursion involves a long drive and a two hour-walk. The water at the falls is so clear that you may see hippo and crocs swimming underwater. Enjoy two full days exploring the park in the Mwaleshi Floodplain, where you will feel a sense of accomplishment from experiencing the bush on intimate terms. You will experience it the way early African explorers confronted the challenge of the continent – on foot! 3 nights Mwaleshi Camp.

  • Day 06+07
  • This morning take a short game drive enroute to the airstrip for your charter flight to your next camp. The drive to the camp will take you past numerous villages. This afternoon depart on a game drive which will continue into the evening. You can experience day and night game drives in open vehicles as well as participate in walking safaris. An exciting micro-light flight over the park may be taken at a reasonable additional cost. Enjoy a day of activities. 2 nights Tafika Camp.

  • Day 08+09
  • This morning you will cross the river, and set out on a walk to the bush camp. Typically it begins where you walk for about two hours, at which point you pause for morning tea. After another one-and-one-half-hour walk, you may reach camp. Next day is very flexible. You generally set on the combination of a drive and walk. Later today you return to camp, after viewing numerous herds of impala, Burchell's zebra, puku, elephant and buffalo, along with Thornicroft's giraffe, baboon and lion. 2 nights Chikoko Tree Camp.

  • Day 10
  • Depart today on your final day of game viewing in the Valley. You will spend your last night at the main camp, Tafika enjoying a final evening send off. Overnight Tafika Camp.

  • Depart on your scheduled charter flights to Lusaka. Connect with an overnight flight. Welcome home!
