Itinerary

• Day 01+02
• Depart this evening on your overnight flight. Arrive this morning. Connect on your international flight to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. On arrival this evening you will be met and transferred to your lodge. Overnight Mount Meru Hotel.

• Day 03+04
• After breakfast, depart by road with your guide to your tented camp situated within the Tarangire-Lake Manyara eco-system. Activities include, game drives, guided walking safaris, bird watching (over 300 birds) and cultural interaction with Datoga and Maasai, whose bomas populate the adjacent land. Enjoy a day of morning and afternoon game drives. 2 nights Maramboi Tented Camp.

• Day 05+06
• Enjoy the morning at leisure and lunch at the camp. This afternoon continue on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which was a pioneer experiment in reconciling the interests of wildlife animals and indigenous forests with the needs of the local Maasai tribe. Next morning depart to the Crater Rim and descend for a morning of game viewing on the crater floor. Enjoy a picnic followed by a visit to a local Maasai village. Enjoy the evening at leisure. 2 nights Ngorongoro Farm House.

• Day 07-09
• Your journey to Serengeti includes a visit to Oldupai Gorge, the famous archaeological site where the Leakey’s discovered the remains of Australopithecus, Homo Habilis and Homo Erectus. A day of game viewing usually consists of morning and afternoon game drives. On your return to the camp after a morning game drive you may have an excellent late breakfast or gourmet picnic lunch when you then may relax on the veranda of your luxurious tent. Afternoon tea and a further game drive is followed by iced cold drinks and a delicious dinner. All your meals are excellent and are taken in a separate dining tent. Enjoy days of game-viewing on game drives in the park. Your days are very flexible where you can take a packed breakfast and leave at sunrise and return to camp for lunch. Or you can depart after breakfast and go for the whole day with a picnic lunch. 3 nights Serengeti Katikati Camp or Mbuzi Mawe Camp.

• Day 10+11
• This morning depart by vehicle and road transfer to Arusha. (There is an optional scheduled charter flight to Arusha which eliminates an 8 hour drive.) You have the option of getting a dayroom in Arusha (optional upgrade). This evening transfer to Kilimanjaro for your departing international flight. Welcome home!
