Mozambique’s greatest attraction to the international traveler are its pristine beaches, and especially the idyllic islands off its 1,550 mile (2500km) coastline with properties offering barefoot luxury at its finest. For the true adventurer, the country holds large wildlife reserves of interest primarily to travellers looking for a remote bush experience, wishing to explore new territory or so see its amazing birdlife. Progressive conservation programs are underway to help wildlife concentrations come back to what they once were. These include the Carr Foundation in Gorongosa and the lion predator program in Niassa with Colleen and Keith Begg.
