Six days of cultural immersion exploring the villages and hills of the South Omo River Valley in Ethiopia. Visit the local tribes of the Muguji, Karo, Mursi, Hamar, Nyagatom and Dassenech. Day 01+02
Depart on an overnight flight to Europe. Arrive in Europe. Continue onwards to Nairobi. On arrival in Nairobi you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight The Fairmont Norfolk Hotel.
Day 03-06
The adventure begins with an early wake-up call and breakfast at the Norfolk before you are met and transferred to the domestic airport (Wilson) where you have a private charter flight waiting to take you across Kenya to the remote northern border. You will be accompanied on the flight by your trip leader and guide. You will be met and transferred to your remote camp, located on the Omo River. You will rise early each morning and spend full days exploring the villages and hills of the South Omo. 4 nights Lumale Camp.
Day 07
Today you will drive to Turmi. This afternoon we may see a Hamar bull jumping ceremony and visit a market. Overnight Buska Lodge or Lumale Camp.
Day 08
Today you will leave early in the morning and be driven to the bank to cross to Ileret. Here you will continue by scheduled charter flight back to Nairobi. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight Fairmont Norfolk Hotel.
Day 09+10
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. Welcome home!
