07 Day Green Desert Group Expedition- $3,475.00

This scheduled group program is designed to enjoy the Kalahari Desert at its most productive season when it receives low sporadic rains and the wildlife migrates into the desert valley in large numbers. Time to travel is March through May and again in December. Explore two major habitats, Deception Valley/Central Kalahari Desert and the fertile islands and waterways of the Okavango Delta. This precious water creates a short yet incredibly prolific wildlife viewing period with concentrations of desert species and their young in the fertile, ancient river valleys of Deception Valley in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. This is a combination of two permanent tented camps and an adventurer camping experience. You will be traveling in a small group (8) with the same highly qualified guide throughout.

Day 01
On arrival in Maun depart overland to your lodge in the Deception Valley of the Central Kalahari. Overnight Deception Valley Lodge.
Day 02-04
After an early breakfast, you will depart overland to the private campsite in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve with lunch en route. You will have three days of group/shared game viewing activities. You will discover the game rich Pipers Pans area of the Kalahari, as well as the Letiahau Deception Valleys. Experience days of game viewing activities. On day 03 or 04, the group will enjoy an extended game drives with picnic lunch in the game-rich Pipers Pan area of the Kalahari. 3 nights Adventurer Camp.
Day 05+06
After a light breakfast you will depart overland to Maun (approximately 6 hours). On arrival you will take a scheduled charter flight to the water-filled paradise of the private Xigera area, within the Moremi Game Reserve. Xigera is the ultimate Delta experience, with serene waters flowing through innumerable channels around remote islands and a profusion of plant and animal life. Activities include mokoro (dugout canoe) trips to explore the crystal clear channels, islands and waterways, walking on islands, and limited game drives. 2 nights Xigera Tented Camp.
Day 07
After a morning flight take your return charter flight to Maun for an onward flight.
