Squack Evans was born and brought up on a large cattle ranch in south-eastern Zimbabwe. Born into a family that has been in Africa for 4 generations, his great grandfather hunted for ivory from Northern Rhodesia to Kenya, and his grandfather, Jasper Evans, and the rest of the family have pioneered camel safaris and conservancy in Kenya for generations.
Educated at a remote boarding school in the bush of Zimbabwe the love affair with all things wild continued. He worked in Hwange National Park, before returning to East Africa to run Sabuk in Kenya. A stint in Zambia followed, game ranch management, and then back up to Tanzania. He was our camp manager/main guide at Chada Katavi for 2 years, and his professionalism, knowledge, and infectious enthusiasm became a major feature of the Chada experience, helping to really put it on the map as a stand alone destination.
Squack is now based in Kenya, but is available for Nomad guiding on request.
