Richard Coke

Richard Coke was born in South Africa. Later he spent 9 years schooling in the UK where he attended Shuttleworth Agricultural College, and then after spending some time farming he then returned to South Africa.

Here he began taking walks on Bushman Painting trails through the Southern Drakensberg before moving to work in Namibia. Richard spent 2 years working for Wilderness Namibia doing both camp management and guiding in their camps at Sossusvlei, Damaraland and also at Ongava Tented Camp beside Etosha National Park before being lured east to Botswana.

He successfully wrote his Botswana guide exam and now he guides extensively in all the Botswana camps as well as taking Privately Guided Safaris through Botswana. He enjoys the outdoors and has traveled extensively through Europe as well as Madagascar and other African countries. He is also a keen photographer himself although always striving to improve. Richard is a gentle natured person and has an absolute passion for the bush and what he does, he has found that his niche in life is guiding.
