Born on the slopes of Mt Elgon in Eastern Uganda, Sam has an impressive 15 years’ experience as a Tour guide in both Uganda and Rwanda. He is trained in Mechanical Engineering (Dpl.) but found his way into Tourism having been interested by his father’s friend and has never looked back.
He specializes in Bird watching as well asMammals. He has had training with Queen Elisabeth Bird Observatory, Customer care Training with crested Crane Institute of Tourism, Jinja, as well as Uganda Safari Guides Association, Silver level. He has had First Aid Training with the Uganda Red cross.
He was nominated by the Morrison Foundation as one of the Top 5 best Guides in Uganda. He enjoys meeting guests from different backgrounds and telling them about Uganda and Rwanda as well as discovering new bird species. He is married with 4 children.
